Mar. 7, 1936 – Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoon “Mickey’s Grand Opera” was released.
Mar. 7, 1941 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Golden Eggs” was released.
Mar. 7, 1942 – Walt Disney Co. chairman Michael Eisner was born in Mount Kisco, New York.
Mar. 7, 1955 – An Emmy award for Best Individual Program of the Year, was won for the Disneyland TV episode “Operation Undersea.” Walt Disney himself also won an Emmy award for Most Outstanding New Personality. A third Emmy (Best Variety Series, Including Musical Varieties) goes to the Disneyland TV series.
Mar. 7, 1956 – The Disney TV show aired “On Vacation.”
May 7, 1962 – Singer-actress Taylor Dayne, who was featured in Disney’s Broadway show “Aida,” (and who has appeared at the House of Blues in DTD) was born Leslie Wunderman in Baldwin, N.Y.
Mar. 7, 1971 – Disney’s part-1 of its 2-part TV movie “Hamad and the Pirates” aired. (Part-2 aired Mar. 14, 1971)
Mar. 7, 1980 – TJ Fantini, a member of the Disney Channel’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” was born in Bellville, Il.
Mar. 7, 1983 – Disney’s limited TV series of 6 episodes “Small and Frye” began airing on CBS. (Ended June 15, 1983)
Mar. 7, 1993 – The Disney Channel Premiere film “Spies” aired.
