Salt Lake City in April

If there is anyone who lives in Salt Lake City, I'm looking for some info on great things to do in the Downtown area. Specifically restaurants, bars, and shopping. In terms of restaurants nothing too expensive, and in terms of bars nothing like clubs- more pubs or breweries. Thanks!

I don't know if you're going to find the usual bar scene in SLC. The Mormon church forbids alcohol. I remember it being a real issue during the SLC Olympics, whether people would be able to get a drink. I think you can go out for a drink, but you may have to "join" a "private club" to do so.

Not trying to diss Utah or SLC or the Mormons (heck, I don't drink either), just pointing out that things may work differently there.
