i thought that i read somewhere that the hoop dee doo serves mashed potatoes now instead of corn. is this true.

I checked a February 2008 menu and it shows mashed potatoes instead of corn.

I think this is a welcome change. It's mostly inconsequential, but my little kids would probably rather eat potatoes than corn. Either way, it won't keep me from coming back here!

It is now mashed potatoes and btw they are sooooooooooooo much better than the corn. But we always go for the unlimited sangria haha : ) Yes me and my friends are thoooose people : )

Are they just plain mashed potatoes or cheese or garlic mashed potatoes. I like them anyway I can get them, but DH is such vanilla person, he would rather have them plain.

They are just plain mashed potatoes. I think maybe smashed so they might have bits on the skin in there but easily removable.

Had them a month ago. They're plain mashed potatoes with some bits of red skin in them and they're kinda homemade-y with lumps.

Incredibly tasty. We asked for a second bowl.

One of my twins eats mashed potatoes and not corn, the other eats corn and not mashed potatoes, so either way one is happy and the other is not :)

HAHAH Thats what we try to do : ) Most of the time the 9:30 shows are good for that because us CM's get a discount at that show. And since it's the last show of the night the cast usually is more prone to ad lib : )

Ya wanna hear something funny? I just got around to printing out all of our pics from Sept/07 trip. While I was putting them into the album, I came across a photo of us at HoopDeeDoo, and there, right in the middle of the table, is a big metal bowl of mashed potatoes. You think I would have remembered that....
I guess it just proves that we go for the show; the food is just a bonus.
