Our DD’s 1st birthday trip to WDW…Day 2

My MIL came down with a stomach bug overnight so she was out of commission. FIL, DH, Allie, and I decided to head back over to Epcot. It was an ugly day. Rainy and cold. We were disappointed to find out that the soft opening for Spaceship Earth was over and they wouldn’t be reopening until the 18th…..the day AFTER we left. This is DH’s favorite ride so he was really bummed. We went over and grabbed fastpasses for Soarin then we rode Nemo again and stayed to watch the Dolphin presentation in the Living Seas. We walked over to ride Soarin. This was FIL’s first time to ride it and he loved it as much as we did. It started to rain, so we cut the day short and went to check on MIL. DH went and got pizza and we just hung out in the room for the rest of the night.

Up next: Day 3….Allie’s birthday!!!

So sorry your MIL got ill. There is nothing worse than getting sick on vacation, especially at WDW!! Thanks for sharing.

Certainly not a fun day for your mother-in-law though it must have been a relaxed day for the rest of you!

Too bad that your MIL wasn't feeling very good, and the weather wasn't cooperating either. But a day at Epcot is better than a day at work! :mickey:
