Dining Plan and Tipping?

In the past everyone had told me that the dining plan included tips. Now they are saying that tipping is separate. I am confused. Can someone set me straight so that my next trip I do the right thing.

Hi, we just got back from our trip and used the plan. Its true, tips are no longer included. What they do is bring out your bill and they have priced out both a 18% and 20% tip for you. You are free to put what you want though and then when you give them your room card, they take off the meals from the plan and bill you separately for the tip you want to leave. You can do cash, charge to room, or charge to your credit card for the tip. Beware that you end up with 3 different receipts!

Your confusion comes from the fact that tips were included with the DDP through 2007 but there were a few changes made to the 2008 DDP so that it now does not include tips.
