Worst Band Possible for Rock 'N Roller

Just sitting hear at work, listening to some lame radio station being played a few offices away and it got me to thinking.

What would be the worst band they could incorporate into the Rock N' Roller.

Here is the first thing that popped into my twisted mind:

"Disney Studios Rock 'N Roller Coaster Starring Air Supply!"

I laughed out loud to myself just typing it.

And you thought having "It's a Small World" stuck in your head all vacation was bad. How about humming, "I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you!" for 7 straight days!!

Would love to hear who others would think of.

I live in Myrtle Beach and we have a the Hard Rock Park (amusement park with the Hard Rock brand) opening up in a few months. The signature ride is Led Zepplin the Ride, an outdoor steel behemoth coaster with "Whole Lot of Love" piped through speakers mounted in the headrest, similar to RnR. The coaster is outdoors as opposed to RnR, but it still looks pretty sweet.

I don't mind having Aerosmith as the R&RC band. I can't stand them, so when I go on there, the speed helps me feel like I'm really trying to get away from the music. Naturally, it doesn't work.

The worst artist I can think of off-hand would be Elliott Smith. The whole ride would be very sad and very slow. It would probably take 20 minutes to get through the whole track.

Just sitting hear at work, listening to some lame radio station being played a few offices away and it got me to thinking.

What would be the worst band they could incorporate into the Rock N' Roller.

Here is the first thing that popped into my twisted mind:

"Disney Studios Rock 'N Roller Coaster Starring Air Supply!"


I laughed out loud to myself just typing it.

And you thought having "It's a Small World" stuck in your head all vacation was bad. How about humming, "I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you!" for 7 straight days!!

Would love to hear who others would think of.

I love the idea of RnRC starring Air Supply. First off - I love Air Supply. Second - I realize that many of you do not love Air Supply. No more fastpasses needed. It would instantly become a walk-on ride like Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

As you start out towards the take off, For Those About to Rock is playing. When they start firing the guns, you take off. The first song you hear in the ride of course is Highway to Hell. Then TNT, Money Talks, Back in Black, Shoot To Thrill, and Thunderstruck could follow i different mixes.

As for a bad one, James Blunt. Or even John Meyer, or even The Boss himself would make a bad replacement. Could you imagine Disney Studios presents Rock n Rollercoaster starring The Doors??

Now I wasn't going to post until I started reading some of the artists and I admit, there's quite a few I would consider as bad ones. But when I had seen the polka rock god himself, "Weird" Al, being mentioned. I had to step up and defend him. Now what would be wrong in riding RnRC listening to such hits as Cavity Search or Canadian Idiot(no offense to any Canadians out there and I like the country too since I've visited Ontario) or how about Gump even? They might have to change some of the scenery but I think it could be pulled off. :D

if i had to pick someone to be a good fill in at least i would pick AC/DC and the song "highway to hell" . i also think KISS and their song "detroit rock city" with the crash at the end being the stopping/ unloading part!! possibly anything by Avenged Sevenfold!! Actually, I think Disney selected Aerosmith for the exact opposite of all the reasons you posted. Aerosmith is one of the few bands to have a zero tolerance policy on drugs, and if I'm not mistaken, most of the members of the band are married, and have been married to their spouse for many years. Aerosmith is sort of a rarity among rock n roll bands, to some degree.

Steven Tyler did recently check himself into rehab after becoming addicted to pain meds after some foot problems.

I live in Myrtle Beach and we have a the Hard Rock Park (amusement park with the Hard Rock brand) opening up in a few months. The signature ride is Led Zepplin the Ride, an outdoor steel behemoth coaster with "Whole Lot of Love" piped through speakers mounted in the headrest, similar to RnR. The coaster is outdoors as opposed to RnR, but it still looks pretty sweet.
I was going to mention that. I'm just up the road in NC.

I was really looking forward to it as a big Aerosmith fan then I heard lovin on a roller coaster a play on lovin on a elevator, one of the two worst songs Aerosmith has ever done, the other of course Dude looks like a lady. I was hoping for Back in the Saddle or S.O.S, , Lord of thighs, Dream on, so many clasics.

Flyleaf! My friend insisted that i listen to some of their songs, and I couldn't stand listening to the first few lyrics! It was terrible. I'm glad they chose Aerosmith.
