I was wondering if anyone has noticed if the dining service has increased as a result of the tips no longer being included in the dining plan. At first I was disappointed that the tips were no longer included in the meals but now I am second thinking myself; maybe it is a blessing in disguise. I have noticed a decline in service at some of the restaurants we have dined at (some have been fabulous, above and beyond). Being a former restaurant manager I know that some servers can be less than eager and I can only imagine what a guaranteed tip percentage would do. I am aware of the restaurant taking a percentage and the server not getting the entire amount under the old rules. Has anyone found that the service quality is picking up more so than on your past trips or has it remained the same? I figure that if the servers feel that they have more control of their tips they may react by trying harder to impress the patrons with their "Disneyness". Just curious.
