Well VMK has finally decided to add the rooms to Main Street and they actually added 2!

We now have the Main Street Magic shop which has a checkers game inside and they have added the penny arcade. If you double click the arcade machines you can play games outside of VMK although right now all they do is take you to the Water park games.

There are also arcade machines all over the place in vmk in different rooms. They all have their own arcade now i.e. Adventureland Arcade, Fantasyland Arcade etc. So I'm guessing they will change the games eventually.

With the checkers game if you win you get a pin and every time after that you get another point I think that adds to your pin. You also get 50 credits every time you win a game at checkers.

The Magic Shop also has a store all that you can but right now in there is Magic that is single use and I'm guessing gives you an advantage in the checkers game they are called.

Magic Checkers Levitation Magic (http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb133/chrisb2626/VMK/LevitateCheckers.jpg) - 200 Credits
Magic Checkers Slight of Hand Magic (http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb133/chrisb2626/VMK/SlightofHandCheckers.jpg) - 500 Credits
Checker Winner Pin (http://http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb133/chrisb2626/VMK/ChckerWinPin.jpg) (if you double click that pin on a persons lanyard you are challenging them.)

Now I haven't bought these two magics yet but my thinking on this if they are only single use and they cost that much what is the point in buying them? If you win you only get 50 credits seems like a waste. But again I haven't bought them to see. If somebody else has used them and can clear up the confusion please do lol.

Here are some pictures

Nice. I love playing Checkers.

I'm not sure about that magic though, it will be interesting to know what it actually does. I also noticed it expires in 7 days.

Sleight of Hand magic allows you to switch the places of two opposing checkers next to each other.

Levitate magic allows you to jump two opposing checkers in a row. (You need an empty space behind them for it to work.)

Each magic use takes up a turn. You can only use it when it's your turn. And you have only a set amount of "tricks" you can use per game (as indicated on the meter at the top of the screen).

I won 100 credits when I hit level 3 and got 500 credits when I got my 5th win. We ran into QA_Berry in the magic shop and she confirmed that the credit prizes increase with each win.

You also get 50 credits for losing lol!

From what we can tell, the number on the Checker pin is the number of people you've beaten. However, it only counts a person once. So if you play them again, it doesn't add to your count. It also doesn't add if the opponent quits the game. So that eliminates the mule factor.

This could be the game that finally gets my husband interested in vmk......he loves checkers and chess!

Unfortunately, I played my first game today...I quickly lost. I really stink!

One thought that has come to mind is, we've all been trying to figure out what magic will come out this week. Will it be treasure detector or flying carpet (uh huh).

I'm wondering if what they might do since they have a magic shop is, once a month, at the beginning of the month, would they put out the "big" magic pin for the month that everybody has to try and save for.

Why in the world does Injun Joe's Cave have an arcade machine?

A better question is who thought these actually look good where they are?!

They look so randomly placed and the ones in the Pirate Treehouse block the plank now. >_<

Theory is though every land will have their own arcade games now.

Always a waiting game with VMK...

Although, this gives us a week or two to play checkers before we get bored with it and never play again. I must say that I am 3 for 3 in checker games though

The challenge pins don't seem to be working for me. I'm probably just using it wrong though.

The challenge pins won't take you into a game if all the instances are full. I've tried waiting for a challenge and have yet to get in before I crash. So, I'm not even sure if it queues me or not.

This morning the challenge pins were working great.. all the rooms were empty though.

What I find strange is you can challenge somebody who's already playing. Even Lily thought that was a tad strange.

As Tea said above they have moved the Arcade machine so it isn't blocking the plank anymore. They have also moved the Frontierland Arcade from the Cave to the Frontierland Dock. That makes more sense since I'm sure there are alot of people who don't know and have never heard of the cave :)

I'm interested in your guys opinion on this. Should VMK make it when you are playing checkers, you can't see any of the talk from the room? Or at least have a button were you can turn it on/off whenever you want? Ignore can last past the game if you use that.

Where's the other half of the car? Is VMK trying to make it easier to jump out of? :secret:
