Jan 2009 - When can we go and still hit the Osborne Lights

I am planning a trip for Jan 2009. How late can we go and still see the Osborne Lights and the other Christmas decorations? I'll be doing the half marathon so we need to be there the weekend of Jan 10 and 11. Thanks

Not 100% sure, but I think they come down just before that. I thought that the 6th was the last night for them this year.

I agree. You'll probably miss them by a couple of days, though no official announcement has yet been made. To the best of my memory Jan 9 is the latest they've ever been on.

We just returned, so I have insight from this year, though if I speculated for next year, I'm sure I'd be wrong!

We got there on January 7th (Monday). The lights were lit for the last time on Sunday, January 6th. The marathon was the following weekend, so it really looked like the marathoners missed the lights.

There were still a few trees up, but there weren't any lights on anywhere (except on those few trees).
