Hello!

Does anyone have any information on Sea World's new water park Aquatica? I read March 15th was supposed to be the opening date. Is this true?

Also, does anyone know if they will sell tickets just to this park? I saw some combo tickets with Sea World and you can get in on that Orlando flex pass but I wasn't interested in those, just Aquatica.

Thanks :)

I've heard a March 1 opening.

I'm sure there will be one-day tickets to Aquatica. The ticket prices will probably be comparable to those of the Disney water parks. I haven't seen them sold online yet. They will probably be sold online the closer the time comes to the grand opening. If all else, the one-day Aquatica ticket will be offered at the front gates.

I will be interested in reviews! We may be in Orlando in April for a trade show. We were thinking of hitting one of Disney's waterparks, but Aquatica would be closer since we will be staying on I-drive.
Unfortunately, we would just have time for one. . . .

I got to tour Aquatica today with one of the hospitality industry groups I belong to (marketing and networking )... really nice place. Rides and attractions were running for the first time for Seaworld employees & their families (not for us).

I'll be back over there soon on a perfect blue sky day to take photos for my web sites- probably a panorama or 2. Meantime here are a few shots I took today- 1 (http://www.FLmemories.com/B/DSC08651s.html) 2 (http://www.FLmemories.com/B/DSC08657s.html) 3 (http://www.FLmemories.com/B/DSC08644s.html) 4 (http://www.FLmemories.com/B/DSC08646s.html). Aquatica will be on my list of great locations for family or group photos. ;)

The park is big without being overwhelming, and has a great mix of stuff for all ages. DGD2 will love it. :cloud9:

I took my DGD3 to Aquatica Thursday morning for a short visit- no pics to show since my hands were a bit full. Camera stayed in locker, cell phone in ziploc bag fell out of my pocket on lazy river (whatever they call it) and was recovered by lifeguard, we were a bit cold. DGD was ready to go home after a couple of hr, and I didn't complain. ;)

However, I went back by myself in late afternoon and took a load of photos for a new Aquatica web page (http://flmemories.com/files/locations2/Location-AQ.html). You know, I've never done any portraits in any of our Orlando water parks, but I've always been intrigued by the idea. As with the theme parks, there are loads of interesting spots to pose people and stay out of the way of the crowds. A creative group could create some neat shots for me. Only issue might be "swimwear for a family photo"? Folks could always change or cover up. :D
