Just wanting to make sure...

Am I correct in saying using the luggage tags DME sent me, they will transport my bags from MCO to my room regardless of airline? I am not using a "participating airline" but that only matters when departing right?

Yep, you are exactly right. The "participating airline" is a separate program for the return flight. You can still use DME on your return service, but if you aren't on a "participating" airline you have to carry your bags back to the airport on the DME bus then check them at the airport.
