Late Feb crowds?

I've never been at this time of year, we will be there thweek of Feb 23-29. How are the crowds typically?

I would like to know also. I'll be there 2/27-3/2, which is considered a "wonderful week" but I'm still curious. Anything has to be better than my July/August crowds last year!:thumbsup:

Some school systems are on break during that time period though it is less busy than the prior week (Presidents' Day week). Still, it is party of the busy spring break season which runs from Presidents' Day week through Easter.

I'd be prepared for moderate to heavy crowds.

We were there towards the end of Feb last year, and it was packed. AK was maxed out just about everyday. In saying that, it was a combo of President's Day, plus Mardi Gras that added to the crowds. That would not be the case this year, as Mardi Gras is much sooner. You also may just beat the spring break crowds that start to arrive in March. Be ready for any type of weather. We went from very cold to wearing shorts and t-shirts in less that a week!
