Ok, inspired by the movie "The Bucket List" my mother is making out her "bucket list". She asked me for some ideas for her. I gave her some, they were all either too expensive or didn't want to do.

So - what would you put on your "Bucket List"?

Mine:

Go to Europe
Las Vegas
The Mall of Americas
Live in a nice house
See the Pyramids
Great Wall of China
Go above the Artic Circle
Live long enough to be a Grandparent
Make sure DH lives long enough to be a Grandparent

I got to do something I've always wanted to do since I was a kid - Last spring, while in the Caribbean, got to swim with a dolphin!!!! It was cool!!!!

My bucket list is LONG!

Skydive
See Australia
Spend a month in Italy
Travel across the U.S. by train
Visit every state in the country
See England
Learn to fly a helicopter
Learn to play guitar (I play now, but I mean really learn how to play)
Learn to speak Italian
Visit every Disney theme park on Earth
Take a flight on the Space Shuttle (only one on the list that will definitely never happen)

There's probably a few other things that are outside of my control (like living long enough to see my grandkids, etc.), but I tried to stick just to stuff that was in my control.

I've had my own "Bucket List" for years, though I have always called it my "Life List". It's a pretty long list, and there are some things on there that I know I can't achieve (like riding in the space shuttle), but some I have accomplished - visiting the Grand Canyon, viewing the MK utilidors, etc. I'm really hoping, and working towards, getting a lot of the possible ones done.

Now if only the animal handlers at AK would let me pet one of those lions or tigers, I could scratch another item off the list!:D

I've had a bucket list since my cancer recurrence in 2004. This is only part of it:

1. Go to Germany
2. Go to Alaska
3. Go to the Grand Canyon
4. Go to Greenfield Village (I've lived within 40 miles of it my whole life, and I've never been there)
5. Get published (book or article)
6. Write the screenplay that's knocking around in my head

There are lots more, mostly places I want to travel to, plus living long enough to see my daughter graduate from college, etc.

This is a great topic....It is so interesting to get a glimpse into other people's hopes and dreams. It got me to thinking and I realized that I have never had a "bucket list".
I started thinking about it and I think I have come up with a rough draft of my own bucket list
1. Take at least 1 major family vacation per year
2. Complete my degree before I am 31
3. See Niagra Falls
4. Go to the San Diego Zoo
5. See "real" snow (we live in Fort Worth, Tx and a bit of frost is our idea of snow!)
6. DH and I retire no later than the age of 60 or 65 (hopefully earlier!)

See a Red Sox/Yankees series at Fenway Park
Spend some time exploring Paris, Rome and Italy
Learn to speak Italian
Visit NYC and take in all the tourist trappings - especially a great Broadway show
Take a dance class and learn how to do all those great social dances properly
Take at least a few more great vacations with my parents
Conquer my claustrophobia and learn how to snorkel
I'm sure I'll come up with many more! :)

This is such a great question as for there are so many things I want to do.

1. Become an RN
2. Go to Europe and see Germany, England, and Spain
3. do charity work in my field in a country that needs medical care services.
4. Visit historical site of the US
5. Visit great restaurants all over the world.
6. Do things that take my outside of my box.
meaning try parasailing, climb the Eiffel
Tower, go snorkeling, learn how to drive
race car.
these are just some of the things I would love to do before I "kick the bucket"
