Pop Warner Week 2008

Does anyone know when Pop Warner week for 2008 will be? I would like to schedule the week we go around it and we are unsure if they have released this information yet. As we are planning at staying at POFQ and i've heard this is where alot of the noisy groups stay.

In 2007, the dates were December 1-8, and they are usually similar to those dates. I didn't find any specific dates listed yet for this year though.

I checked the Pop Warner Website and there's nothing on it about 2008. I've sent them an e-mail, but I haven't heard back yet. Their Website says that it is normally the second week of December, but in 2007 it was the first week of December (1-8), possibly because Thanksgiving was so early last year.

IMO it will probably be from Dec 6-13, 2008. Thanksgiving is late in 2008 (Nov 27), so I can't see the Pop Warner organization asking people to travel during Thanksgiving weekend for the week of Nov 29-Dec 6.

I didn't hear back from Pop Warner yet, but I did a little more research. Given the past dates, I'm thinking that the 2008 championships will be held the week of Dec 6-12. Here are the Pop Warner dates for the past nine years (thanks to Google), none of which started earlier than Dec 2 or ended later than Dec 14:

Actually, POR is usually the moderate resort for Pop Warner. I don't think I've heard of them being at POFQ. Yes, the resorts are adjoined, so you might get some in the pool, but in terms of the overall resort I don't think you'd have a problem.

I was at POFQ during Pop Warner this year, and there were definitely groups staying there. With obnoxious chaperones. (The kids weren't so bad.)

I have a theory that PW might be the earlier week - the week of December 7, 2008 is listed as a Wonderful Week of Disney.

They were definitely at POFQ Dec 07. We were surprised to see them, but after talking to a CM, she said that there are SO MANY of them now, that they are overflowing into many of the resorts.

The dates are on the 2008 calendar for Pop Warner - They are December 7th - 13th.

Many stay in the value resorts and overflow into the moderates.
