Cast of Completely Crazy Characters:

Me - 37 - driving my DH crazy with all the planning......can't get enough!
Ben - DH - 42 - to all my ?'s, responds with, "Whatever you want, I'll love it if your planning it!"
Katy - DD - 16 - can't wait to take her niece to see all the "pity yights" (that's pretty lights for those adults who don't understand baby talk)
Keara - DGD - 1 - happy no matter what comes her way - lover of all things Pooh!!

Wednesday - December 19th
We head out to DtD for more shopping. Everything dated 2007 is half off. So we get two sweatshirts for Ben's daughters. I got a bunch of pins for some girls at work, I got Taylor (my DD who turns 15 on the 25th) a stuffed Stitch (her favorite character), Stitch flip-flop pins, a stuffed Mickey for Keara, Dory for Katy, Ben got an Elvis Stitch pin, I got a Cinderella and FGM pin where Cinderella spins and changes from scullery maid to princess and Katy got a Jack Skellington pin. We got another $10 blanket and with my AP I saved another $23 plus with the two sweatshirts half off I saved almost $75 total. What a deal. The discount we get from this AP almost pays for one ticket itself just in the amount of money we save at the WoD. I buy everything I can from there unless I want something park specific. Then we head to the christmas shop for Katy to get another Jack Skellington sweatshirt -- this is the only shop we can find Jack Skellington stuff in.

We have all our packages shipped to our resort and catch a bus from Congress Park to AK (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2451671370042804337NoHjMO). We did ITTBAB, had Flame Tree BBQ, good stuff, nice view (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2506984400042804337xnUTCH), beuatiful flowers (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2498811430042804337CWTDoc), what a ride (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2503802680042804337VQjWvc). Great food, great value. Then off to Maharajah (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561854519WnInuF?start=144) Jungle (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561854519WnInuF?start=156) Trek then Pangani Forrest. We got some great shots of Mr. Hippo (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2333632550042804337JKDuKS). He was out walking (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2960915060042804337ZYeUrq) around (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2764669410042804337mFtqlD). The meerkats were having fun. All Ben can think of is "Scurry, Sniff, Flinch (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2352958240042804337ychlRG)" from Lion King 1 and 1/2. The gorillas (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561854519WnInuF?start=192) were showing their dominant sides banging on their chests, climbing trees, getting a "trophy" of a tree branch (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561854519WnInuF?start=204). There were a lot of animal conservationists taking notes and studying the behaviors of the gorillas. We then take the train to conservation station where we meet Jiminy Cricket (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2784926340042804337unTery), Pocahontas (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2498373330042804337cjwhGr) and Rafiki (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2768473420042804337ULMbgx). Back by train it's now 5pm, what shall we do? FOTLK...hello.....I can't come to AK and not see it. It still gives me goosey bumps everytime. Keara is a little fussy, but gets over that quick when the tumble monkeys get going. She loves it. Now the park is closing, so we need to get EMH bracelets and we head for Dinosaur. Ben and Keara hang out and wait for us. Then we are in line for Primevil Whirl where there were 4 kids behind us who were misbehaving badly. Hitting us, bumping into us, kicking and screaming and the adults that were with them never corrected them once. The one girl said she was sorry once when I glared at her, but then they all just kept right at it. When they were walking as we moved up in the line, they weren't watching so when we stopped, they would smack right into the back of us. Whatever....

We finish up here and head to Everest, two trips up the mountain. I love this ride. The view off to the left as you clmb. .. . . breathtakingly spectacular. This ride is much better in the dark. You can see the yeti much better than in the daylight. We decide to head for AKL now and see if we can check in and eat early at BOMA. We hop on a bus and we are at AKL in less than 10 minutes. We check in an hour early. No problem, we can be seated early. They give me a pager. I ask if it will work upstairs in the lobby. She tells me it does so we head up there to look around. Well, after 55 minutes we haven't been called yet. What's up with that? I go back downstairs and our ressies have been put on hold as we hadn't responded to the pager. Well, our pager never went off. So I guess it is safe to say the pager doesn't have the range to go to the lobby. Oh well. We get seated and have food within just a few minutes. Katy is really feeling badly, Keara is fussy, Ben is aching and I am tired. What a bunch of grumpy grinchies we are. Great food though. See my dining reviews (THANKS SHERRI). Its now 11pm so we decide to take a cab back to SSR $18 plus tip.

Back in our room I find myself in the jacuzi again thinking about our upcoming May trip with DisneyWhirled and DWHUbby and their two fabulous children. And of course, those thoughts take me to our upcoming August trip with kakn7294, her hubby and their two fabulous children as well. Ben and Keara are competing as to who can snore the loudest. Katy is watching the disney channel and I am going to bed. Nighty Night!!

I can sure see why you would all be a bit on the cranky side. What a great vacation you all have been having and I am so grateful that you shared it. :cloud9:
