Me - 37 - driving my DH crazy with all the planning......can't get enough!
Ben - DH - 42 - to all my ?'s, responds with, "Whatever you want, I'll love it if your planning it!"
Katy - DD - 16 - can't wait to take her niece to see all the "pity yights" (that's pretty lights for those adults who don't understand baby talk)
Keara - DGD - 1 - happy no matter what comes her way - lover of all things Pooh!!
Will - podcaster friend from home celebrating "Willabration," his birthday
Shannon - podcaster friend from home
Phyllis, Matt, Mattie and Keegan - friends from VA (Keegan is a podcaster too)
Sunday - December 16th
Katy isn't feeling too well today, nor has she for the last few days. She is brewing herself quite the cold. Keara had it with an ear infection last week, so it is only fitting that it runs it course throught the family. But even though Katy doesn't feel well, she goes on.
We get ready early because we have breakfast with a very special princess (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2732149850042804337BMTRAa). We get Keara dressed in her royal attire (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2042506760042804337gZEzMs) and off we go to the MK. Once we make it to the castle, we wait about 15 minutes for our picture time (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2042506760042804337gZEzMs)with Cinderella. Ben spots some critters (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2979581750042804337hAcGDx) watching the whole thing as we stand and wait. We have this picture (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2937077960042804337UNJnog) (I know it's kinda blurry, but its a picture of a picture) we will give Keara's mom, Jenn, when we get home. Jenn wasn't able to come with us as she works retail, and of course, they aren't going to let her have time off right before christmas.
We make it upstairs and have a fabulous time with the princess; Aurora (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2692936830042804337plOiIn), Snow White (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2874456120042804337rZtOHO), Jasmine (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2986942340042804337BkMOqZ) and Belle (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2659863320042804337XxVkaY). We make our wish and finish our breakfast. We head to the restroom to change Keara into her football (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2959421050042804337yhRMmQ) day best! We are taking a ride to the AKL then to AK to meet up with the "extras" who are already at AK having a character breakfast at the Tusker House. They tell me that they were rushed, very disappointed and the food was cold. We all meet at KS for FP and because Will is wearing his birthday button, the CM gives us immediate enterance to the safari, not having to wait for our ride time. The animals (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561855375gWKpEa?start=24) cooperated fully and we got some great shots (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2902151690042804337camRQR). Keara sat wtih Katy two rows behind us and she was the entertainment competition for the animals. We head for the bar for a couple of "adult" drinks and some juice and soda for the underage folk. We watched a street performance of African musicians and dancers. This was fascinating to watch. We then head for Dinosaur were again, Ben and Keara hang back on the bench while we find ourselves in search of an iguanadon (sp?). It was a very bumpy, herky-jerky ride, but we found one and brought him back with us. We catch Ben and Keara bench warming and head for Everest (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2950741520042804337VclFIw). Matti hasn't ridden this before, so she is a little nervous, but still goes on like a trooper. Let's just say the Yeti must have let out some laughng gas because all she did was giggle, then asked to go back on again. So we did. Then she got a stuffed yeti to commemorate her achievement. We watched another street performance of Dip (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2446119330042804337XNKHJH), Smear (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2612799190042804337IIwtLE)and Splat (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2898467050042804337YskAch). They were quite comical. Keara and Mattie (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2290209340042804337tVDvTx)were mesmerized.
The extras stayed behind to watch the Jingle Jungle Parade and we head off to catch a Poly bus for our O'hana dinner at 4:30pm. We check in and they put us on hold until everyone is together. Once they arrive, 4:55, we are all seated immediately. Keegan and Mattie (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2196433760042804337aqvPRq)dance around the dining room (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2296504280042804337tJtmIM)with the person doing the entertainment. Keara (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2569112370042804337OklfhK) sleeps through the music and dancing but awakens (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2783603230042804337UHxkWv) just in time for dessert. I had fed her dinner while we waited for the extras to catch up to us. We part ways as the extras have MVMCP tonight. We head out to catch a cab back to SSR from Poly $15 plus tip. Then we walked to DtD. Even though we just ate, Katy wants MickeyD's fries. We went into WoD to look around, bought Keara a Tink doll (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2207203050042804337GIdbnJ)and an outfit, but the night time crowds are a killer. My back is killing me, Katy doesn't feel good, so we decide to head back home. I sit in the jacuzi and watch the last hour of the Survivor finale. This was the earliest to bed the entire trip. Before 11pm?!? Nighty Night!!
