We were supposed to meet the friends at DHS EMH, yeah right. I wasn't even close to thinking I would get out of bed that early. No alarm....we decided to take our time. Ben and I wanted new crocs as our old ones were bought in May and we wear them all the time, so it was time for a new pair. I bought the new hot pink Minnie Jane crocs and Ben got another pair of black mickey crocs. We went to the bus stop to wait for a bus to the Boardwalk and then we would just walk the river to DHS. Well, we waited, and we waited and, of course, we waited some more. Finally after 45 minutes the Boardwalk (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2168987180042804337ZmLLwe) bus arrived. A quick little ride and I was taking pictures (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2334788290042804337nRsYJu) of the chocolate (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2334788290042804337nRsYJu) carousel (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2334788290042804337nRsYJu). We walked the path to DHS and headed right for our ressies at Mama Melrose's. It is trying to rain, okay, now it's raining and we are waiting for everyone to show up. This is where it got extremely complicated. I had a reservation for 10 people. Come to find out, Matt and Phyllis also had a reservation for 12 people. Phyllis' sister Brenda, her DH Tom and their children Connor, Belle and Duncan were joining us. So our group of 10 went to 15. What a great surprise!! We are seated within a few minutes. Holly, our server was great. Katy and I had a request for the chef. Neither of us were in the mood for anything tomato, so we asked if the four cheese sauce they were promoting today they could put on spaghetti noodles with a grilled piece of chicken. No problem!! Ben had the chicken parm, it was good. We all had caesar salads. Katy had chocolate gelato, Ben had the sugar-free lemon something (yummy) and I had the chocolate truffle cake. A strawberry coloda for me and some amaretto drink for Ben. This was a great meal as usual. I don't know how she did it, but Holly kept everything straight. We had four families all paying separately, confusing to say the least. But not for Holly!! She rocks!!
We got out of there just in time to stand in front of the jedi stage to watch the Holly-days parade. Keara was hilarious (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2965757320042804337kxiWaa), she was dancing all over Grampa's (http://good-times.webshots.com/video/3050399640042804337nzzmVs)head. Got lots of pictures (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561476714NqQidj?start=48), what a cool parade (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561476714NqQidj?start=48). Here are some more pix (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561476714NqQidj?start=48). We head off to ToT and RnRC. AWESOME!! Ben does the babysitting because he doesn't ride much here. Very sensitive to motion. Then we hit the Harlem choir at the BaTB theater. This was a very moving show. Great singers!! It's sprinkling again, nope, now it's raining...again! These quick little showers last only about 10 minutes and its over. We head for the Osborne Lights (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2523562590042804337cTTHPD). All I can say is WOW (http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561476714NqQidj?start=96). Unbelievable (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2024793070042804337JQoGxv). There are supposedly 28 hidden mickey's (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2485571810042804337IHdJZM)according to the announcement. I think we found 6. So I guess we are a little slow. I did find the cat though, does that count? After this everyone decided to head for MK. The friends had their car, so we opted to take the monorail from Epcot. The shoes I had bought earlier were killing me. The minnie jane's are cut narrower than the regular crocs and my feet were really hurting, as well as my lower back. Knowing we were leaving Epcot before illuminations, we would be able to miss the crowds. But as I walked toward the ball, I decided to ask the CM at the little shop if they could help me with my shoes. I was just going to buy another pair of regular crocs when I told her what the problem was. She asked me where I bought them and if I had the receipt. Well, I bought them at WoD and yes, I had the receipt with me. So she just equally exchanged my shoes. Thank you so much!! My feet, knees and back thank you too! As soon as I started walking in the regular crocs, the pain started to go away. RELIEF. So we were walking (ugh) from DHS to Boardwalk because the boat launch at DHS was filled with people all the way back to the enterance to the park, we figured if we were walking we would be there before all those boats filled up with people. I was right. A concert of chorale singers was going on in the courtyard; we got on the boat at Boardwalk and headed for Epcot. However, we decided not to head for MK. We are all too tired and I didn't want to push the pain I was having in my back. Which, btw, doesn't ever really leave me completely the entire trip. We hop on a bus and are back at our resort before 11pm!! We get a few snacks, a couple frozen pizzas and a couple of beers and head to the room. We decide to hit the jacuzi in our room, note to self, one little bottle of shower gel (you know the mini bottle mousekeeping leaves in your room?) is tooooo much for the jacuzi (bubbles everywhere) What a riot. I'll leave this picture out!! But it is on my webshots page. Don't worry, were all covered....all you see is bubbles.
I must say, Keara is taking these late nights like a trouper. She has been such a great baby! For those skeptics who feel the babies can't take it, try it out. Keara naps when she's ready right in her stroller. We planned out meals and attractions around her napping. It worked out really well. Lots of fun and joy! Nighty night!!
