Hi all,
I am a teacher and today is our last day before winter break. This morning we received terrbile news. There is a student in my class who was run over by a car last night. She is in intensive care with 2 shattered femurs and severe internal bruising and bleeding. She is scheduled for surgery this afternoon sometime to put rods in her legs. Please keep her and her family in your prayers, every little bit helps. She is only 10 years old.
Thanks!

No it wasn't one of her parents, it was just an accident. Actually it was her fault, not the drivers. Thanks for all the prayers, I am sure that they will help.:mickey:

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for the prayers and good thoughts. She is still in the ICU as of this afternoon but she is doing much better. They expect to get her in a regular room by the end of the weekend. Since we are out of school for the holiday break, the news is coming slowly. I am sure that we will get more frequent updates from her siblings when we return on January 2nd. Thanks again for all the prayers, keep 'em coming!:mickey:

What a tough way to spend the holidays. I am glad to hear she is recovering. Sounds like they will need a trip to WDW when its all said and done.

My heart felt prayers and wishes goes out to the child, her family, as well as the one who hit her. We've spent the holidays in the hospital in recent years and know how lonely you can feel at that time, especially a child.

Again, my sincerest thoughts & prayers to the family for a speedy recovery.

Here's some :pixie::pixie::pixie::pixie: for a full recovery. I keep as comfort that she's young. A younger body is more prone to heal.

I have an update on my student. She was released from the hospital and is continuing to recover at home. She is pretty heavily casted and most likely will not be returning to school this year. She will be home schooled for the remainder of the school year by teachers from our county. She will start rehab after the casts are removed. She may still have to have additional surgeries once she starts to heal. I can't thank you enough for all of your well wishes and prayers. I know that it made all the difference :) Thanks again.:mickey:
