7 nights Pop Century (Dec 7-14)
Debbie - 46
Mark - 50
We both got off work early on Friday, December 7th. We were on our way to the airport by 4:00 and the plane took-off ontime at 6:20. Both of us were very excited. It has been several years since we have been at WDW and out 1st trip alone in 20 years.
We arrived on schedule and headed to the Magical Express check-in. There was a bus waiting for us and we were on our way within minutes. We were at Pop Century within an hour of landing. This was our 1st stay at a value resort so we were a little apprehensive. We waited about 15 minutes to check in. In the mean time, I enjoyed looking a the beautiful Christmas tree and wreaths in the lobby. We were in room 2456 top floor 50's building with a view of Epcot. The room was nothing special but it was clean and had a good view so we were happy. We had a towel animal in our window on check-in.
We dropped off our carry on luggage and headed to the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island where we were supposed to meet some Mousefest folks. We got to the club at around 10pm and only saw one person waiting outside. Eventually a few other folks showed up and we went inside. After ordering our favorite Kongalush, we headed into the library to watch the Christmas show. We had another drink and then left and started walking around. My hisband was hungry so we went into Mickey D's. It was about the only thing we found that was open this late. After our snack, we headed back to our room. We planned on getting up early the next day and heading to Epcot.
