I know prayers here are especially powerful. I am so upset for my friend Angie. We grew up together and our parents still live in the same houses we grew up in in FL. Her son Dutch is 17. Angie's mom, Judy, called my mom and I just got off the phone with my mom, Dutch has leukemia. I was trying to find out what kind it is, but she was just trying to call people to let them know about it and especially call those of us who are closest to the family. Angie has four kids (he is the oldest) and has been through some things, but I know prayers are greatly needed right now. I have known five people in the last three years with cancer, some my own family. I had my surgery to take out abnormal cells out of my thyroid ten years ago and it's horrible, my ordeal was nothing compared to what people with leukemia or friends on here have gone through. And to get this news at the holidays is even worse (not that there's any good time for this news). Thanks guys!!

I will keep this family in my prayers. I know it is never easy to have to go through this but it does seem like it is harder at the holidays.

You guys are so awesome, he will appreciate it greatly! My dad saw him a few days ago and said he looked so sick from the pre-chemo drugs. They will be doing the first round of chemo today. Basically from what I heard, it's leukemia of the lining of the brain, which I am not as familiar with as some of the other forms like AML or ALL. The dr's are giving him a great prognosis, so that's good news. Thanks again!
