Considering moving. Any suggestions near WDW?

We are considering moving once DD is done with High School and would like to be within 6-8 hours drive time to WDW. DW & I have only lived in the Southwest, and have really only been east of the Mississippi a handful of times - mostly for WDW :mickey:

Any suggestions?

We'd like to stay out of the hurricane zone if possible.

We live about 8 1/2 hrs. from Disney, in Greenville, SC. Its a great area not to big not to small.

Basically anything in Florida or along the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic seaboard would be considered as Hurricane territory. To get the distance and be inland far enough that the hurricanes have lost a lot of their fury you might think about something in the area of Atlanta or anything about that distance from the water. Of course, almost the entire southeast is suffering from a terrible drought so this may not be the best of times to move there.
