I know I have read posts on here before referring to "Jersey Week." Does anyone know when that is? I seem to remember it in September and I've already booked my trip for September 2008. Nothing against Jersey people, but I would rather go when it's not crowded. We have found September, even with the free dining plan, to be a good time to go. Can anyone help me out with this?

It's definitely in November, around the Veteran's Day holiday. So, you are safe! Have a great trip :mickey:

It appears New Jersey schools will be closed on the 6th and 7th of November in 2008.

Jersey week is normally the first week of November. There is a teacher's conference in Atlantic City on the Friday and Saturday of that week. Many schools have half days at the beginning of the week, so many parents take the opportunity to have a week's worth of vacation by taking their kids out of school for only three days. Massachussetts may have something similar the same week, but Jersey week sounds better than Massachussetts week.

I don't believe that Massachusetts schools close down at that time of year. As far as I know, the Massachusetts school calendar only closes for the actual holiday - Veterans' Day on the 11th.

1) The parks do get a little crowded with NJ people.
2) But, it isn't all that bad.
3) However, there is a problem.
4) Trying to understand their accent can be tough.
