Well this just bites....I am scheduled to go down to WDW and stay at Poly in a week on a great fare I found. So I was having kidney stones pass this past week, and I went to the doctor and a CAT scan. They ended up finding 7 stones in the two kidneys. I go in tomorrow or Tues for surgery to put in a stint as well as do the procedure where they emulsify the stones.

Sooooo.....no trip for me this December! Oh well...better to be healthy for the 10 day trip in March I suppose :)

Wow, how disappointing, and painful for you.

This happened to my best friend's husband while they were on safari in South Africa. Talk about a nightmare! So, in a way, it's good that it happened now and not after you left and then found out on vacation. But not good in any case.

Best wishes for a fast recovery and a new trip to WDW in the near future.

I relate to that, I got one more stone to pass and this has been since Sept. It's to small to zap. Good luck.

My DH has had problems with kidney stones for years. No fun.

I hope for a speedy recovery for you. I have passed stones before, no fun, especially when you have to cancel a trip. Good luck!

So sorry to hear of the stones. You are right, it is better to be healthy. Drink plenty of fluids and rest!! Take care.

awwww... I am so sorry you can not go!! I am glad you found out about the stones though... very painful I know.... I wish you a speedy recovery and a MAgical 10 day trip in March!!

It's bad enough to need to deal with kidney stones. It really stinks when they keep you from your trip to Disney! I'm sorry!
