Emeril leaving Food Network?

If this has been/being discussed already, I'm sorry. But I just heard that Emeril was leaving the Food Network and that his last show was on next week. Has anyone else heard this? What is he going to do now?

This was all over the news last week. His Emeril Live show is not being renewed but he is still doing his specials and other shows with the Food Network. You can Google it and find some info still. I read about this on MSNBC.COM.

Yes, it was my understanding that he is still contracted to Food Network, even though the Food Network is cancelling Emeril Live.

Our local paper said that "Essence of Emeril" will still be showing, but that "Emeril Live" will just be reruns.

Just to add, he's not even a part of the new clay-mation figures the network is using..It's Giada, Guy, Rachael, Paula, Alton, and Bobby.

C'mon, Emeril deserves to at least be immortalized in clay!!!!
