I know this may be a weird question from someone in the airline business but has anyone ever bought an infant fare on Southwest so the infant can have his/her own seat? I've never been on Southwest before and we will be traveling to Disney in May.

Nice Avatar!!! From what I've read and heard, you might be better off purchasing a seat at the regular price for the infant. Sometimes it works out to be significantly cheaper than purchasing the infant fare. Do some research before you purchase. We love Southwest!

I just tried to do this for my son, he'll be 9 months in March when we go to WDW.

It was cheaper to buy the full internet fare. Especially because I was able to get the Wanna Get Away internet only fare for our trip down.

I still bought the seat. It seems better, to me, for him to have a seat then to hold him for 2 and a half hours!

HTH!
