Does anyone know what brand of waffle mix is used at the restaurants?

If you call I'll bet they'd tell you -- however, it is probably something that only restaurant people can get -- in 100 lb bags :D

It might even be a Mickey-specific concoction, like some of the coffee (see Theme-perk coffee).

I would love to know the answer to this also. I just bought a Mickey waffle maker. Although it's fun to have waffles in the shape of mickey, they sure don't taste as good as the ones you get at WDW.

I ran a search and found this under cooks.com I think the Tbls. of vanilla might be what makes the difference. But I will call and ask WDW dining as well.

3 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar

Beat eggs until thick. Beat in milk and butter. Sift remaining ingredients together and then add to liquid mixture. Follow directions according to your waffle maker - these are the best waffles ever!

On our last trip, my mom wanted us to bring her back a Mickey waffle maker. We looked everywhere and never did find one. I ended up buying one on eBay and giving it to her... :secret:

The same thing happened to me on our 2004 trip. I searched high and low in WDW and came up empty. An internet search at home led me to VillaWare, and that was the ONLY thing on my wish list that Christmas! LOL Thank goodness I got it!

Hmmm...will have to try out that Mickey waffle recipe...maybe Friday!

Happy turkey day, everyone!

If anyone asks I will plead the fifth, but I love the Mickey Waffles kids meal at Pop Century! There is just something about the tiny mickey heads and syrup :mickey:!
And in my opinion not having to make it is what makes it taste better.
