Hey folks, you know about that upcoming "Enchanted" movie? I think it looks cute. Anyway, you think any of the characters from the movie will be appearing at the parks for the movie's opening or anything? I know about how very few live-action Disney characters have recieved the pleasure of appearing at the parks, but ever since Jack Sparrow I've been pretty hopeful about the future of live-action park characters.

Figment!

According to Character Cast, Giselle is planned to be added to the Stars and Motor Cars Parade at Disney-MGM Studios later this month.

Us too! It comes out the night before we fly so we figured it would be a great way to start out the vacation

ENCHANTED: Disney's newest star, Princess Giselle, has made her royal debut at Walt Disney World. She now makes special appearances as a prelude to the Hollywood Holly-Day Parade at the Disney-MGM Studios. Princess Giselle is the star of Enchanted, the new Walt Disney Pictures motion picture.

The film, released nationwide Nov. 21, 2007, is a twist on the classic Disney fairytales which blends live-action, computer effects and hand-drawn animation. The film stars Academy Award-nominated actress Amy Adams, Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon and "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey.

Aww, she looks cute.

Although I think Sarah wants her dress back. It was a gift from Jareth.

Sorry, Labyrinth reference. I think Disney got a bit lazy and just stole the design of Sarah's ballroom gown for Giselle and Lily's Evil Dress from Legend for the Queen. Look them up, you'll see.

Giselle is not really a princess...?

Neither was Cinderella or Belle. They married into it.

And technically, neither is Jasmine - she married down.

Mulan wasn't before- and she still isn't - she married a general.

But what about Kida? Or Eilonwy? They were both princesses...why aren't they included?

So if they let everyone else except real princesses in the princess club - they can let Giselle in.

Actually, Jasmine is a princess. Just because she married Aladdin didn't mean that she was disowned. In fact, her father allowed her to marry him and changed the marriage rule.

We saw Giselle on Tuesday Nov 20th in the parade! She was beautiful! I loved the horse drawn carriage and her entourage! I asked at guest relations and she was not doing meet and greets during the week we were there:( Maybe by Christmas but no one would confirm anything.....

I understand all of that BUT Giselle does not even end up marrying her prince...without giving away too much for those of you who may not have see the movie yet...:mickey:

So she is a heroine instead of an actual Princess. Just like Pocahontas and Mulan. I really hope she does meets by the time we get there!!!

There is limited merchandise at the parks. Mostly, there are dolls (the Wedding Dress, the "animated" version, one of Robert solo, and a set for Giselle and Roberts in the Ball outfits), books and some pins and keychains.

The Disney Stores (mall stores, not WOD) have the costumes and the accessories for it but not the parks.
