This is the first time I have asked on here. I hope it is okay.

I am going in to the hospital on Tuesday (6th) for knee surgery. Third one in two years. I had reconstruction on it last year and they are going in to do some more on Tuesday. I am hoping this is the last surgery. I am only 32 so a knee replacement is out for ten more years or so.
I was non weight bearing and on crutches for 6 weeks last year. I hope it is not that long of a recovery again but, if that is what it takes then I will deal with it. Crutches for 6 weeks with three kids 10 and under can be quite stressful. :scared:
So, any spare good thoughts you could spare would be very much appreciated!!

Thanks so much for all of the good thoughts, Pixie Dust, etc. It was very much appreciated.

My knee surgery was yesterday and went very smoothly. I stayed awake for it with a spinal so, I was able to talk to the Dr about options during the surgery.

He had to do some more reconstruction and microfracture. There was a second Orthopedic surgeon in the OR that had done my second opinion. He had never seen a person that had the OATS (bone graft) surgery that I had. He asked me how I had been walking around since my knee looked like such a mess inside. Of course I replied "With Pain".

So, we are hoping this will give me a few more years. I am non weight bearing for six weeks, on crutches. Not so much fun but necessary. The kids were great last night and this morning. Lets see how great they are December 10th or so when I am still on them. ;)

Thanks again for all of the thoughts. The lap top comes in quite handy when you are laid up in bed.
