Is there any place in the 4 parks to meet CARS characters?

Mater and Lightning can been scene at the studios just check the times guide for more information when you arrive :thumbsup:

It's on the Streets of America near the rear of the park. Check the times guide for the times they will make appearances. You will need to arrive a bit early and line up along the left side of the street when facing the San Fran backdrop. The Cars characters will drive onto the meet 'n greet area and you will be allowed to meet Lightning first, then move over to a second line to meet Mater. It's all a really well-controlled process by the CM's attending the Cars. Here's a picture of what the area looks like when the Cars are coming down the street:

I am SO happy to hear they have changed the way they do this meet and greet. When we were there last September (06) it was a free for all. No lines, pushing and shoving, the CM's just stood there. It was awful. We just walked away after 5 minutes or so of madness. We did not even attempt it this September for fear that it was the same mess.

I love that backdrop, and it looks like it will make an awesome picture with the Cars. I'm so glad it's no longer a free for all!!

Does anyone know if this is a daily meet and greet? We're going in Dec and would love to gets some pics with these characters. Thanks!

Great news. :thumbsup:Yeah, we saw that same fiasco in Dec '06 and it prompted me to send off an e-mail ranting about the safety of the situation. :blush: The good news is that they paid attention and fixed the problem.

Thanks!I believe that it is a daily event - in fact, I believe it happens several times a day. Pick up a Studios times guide and it will be listed on there as to the days and times.

As of now the Cars come out about 4-5 times a day. Just make sure to get there early. At a certain point the line gets closed.

I have added them to our list. This looks so much more organized. We went in early May this year and it was just a free for all.

10 more days!!!!! My DS4 is gonna FLIP!!! I havent told him that Lightning and Mater will be there at all!! It will be a huge surprise for him!! We will definately get there early for this one! Thanks for the ranting email that led to this updated version!! We will benefit and I will be grateful!:thumbsup::party::mickey:
