Going to dinner on first night at 1900 park fare. Is the view of wishes good from Gf? if so, where and is there music??? or are we better off taking monorail to contemporary. Our dinner reservations are 6pm and fireworks aren't till 8pm... so will have some time to fine a place. Don't have park tickets for this day though(arrival day)

You can stand by Narcoossee(sp)...we were eating there and people came and stood on the deck between the water and the restaurant...and blocked our beautiful view...we've enjoyed watching from the Poly beach...and last time we were going to watch from the front of the Park before the entrance gates (no passes that day either), but we took the boat from GF and were actually on the little boat transportation for both the electrical water parade and the fireworks...it was beautiful...no music from any site...

There's the boat dock over by Narcoossee's, but it does tend to get crowded. The wrap around deck is reserved for guests eating in the Narcoossee's restaurant or lounge. The other spot is over by the marina. That's the area where they will sometimes have the music piped in. Unfortunately, sometimes it's on and sometimes it isn't, so there's just no guarantee you'll hear it.

The Poly beach is a nice 5-10 minute walk from the GF and if you can locate and sit by the speakers, you should be able to hear it from there.

Tammi has a good point... The beach at Polynesian is a great place to watch WIshes... You can see EVERYTHING... And the music is pumped in too... So, you get the full experience of Wishes without the huge crowd on Main Street...

The marina at the GF is a lovely spot with plenty of seating and room-- not at Narcoossee's but right outside Gasparilla Grill around the corner (outside) from the GF Cafe. You can buy a bottle of wine (or soft drinks and snacks) at Gasparilla and bring it right out to a patio table to watch. It's a straight on view of the castle from there. It's actually a closer, better view than the Poly view, though the Poly beach is also an excellent place for viewing.

Another surprisingly good view if you are staying at the GF is from the middle of the courtyard pool. My kids loved watching fireworks from the pool.

What is the view like outside MK??? better or worse... ???You won't see some of the lower fireworks, or any of the displays on the castle. Aside from that, the view of the higher fireworks is fine.
