This was a special Birthday Bash trip for my 2 DDs and I, who all have birthdays within 3 weeks of each other! Combine it with the 10th Anniversary meet, and it makes a wonderful trip!

We left late Wednesday night on a red-eye - landing at 5:15am UGH!. The ground crew was not even working yet, and had to wait until after 5:30 before we could "park". We took DME to Caribbean Beach and checked in. Of course our room wasn't ready, so we changed from jeans to shorts, dropped our bags, and off we went!
We made it to MK just at rope drop! Stopped at the bakery on Main Street for cinnamon rolls for breakfast! Yum! We started off with Peter Pan (I like WDW version better), and Tea Cups. Once the rest of the park opened we went to Haunted Mansion and PoTC (I think DL version is better). We stopped for lunch....that was a mistake....we all hit the wall. The room was finally ready, so we returned to the resort and :sleepin:. Three hours later, we were ready to go again (I knew there was a reason I didn't bring the 5 year old...). Off to Epcot, where we tried the new Nemo ride - we liked it alot. Of course we had to go on Test Track for our "thrill" of the evening. Although we wanted to stay longer, it was probably a good thing Epcot closed after Illuminations, since we were still sleep deprived! Back to the resort for a full night sleep - so we are raring to go tomorrow!

You all sure had a long day! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to formally meet you this weekend but I did see you around and it looked like the three of you were having a blast!

Ugh... I'm not sure I could've handled that little sleep... but for the sleep deprivation you were sure to be suffering you managed to do quite a bit! (oh, happy belated birthday to all three of you!)

You know you're early when you beat the ground crew ! It would've taken me more than a 3 hour rest to get my 2nd wind.

Sounds like a pretty great day despite the no sleep issue. Thanks for sharing it with us.

So you blew us off for Nemo? All's forgiven!

Did anyone get adequate sleep over the weekend? I know we didn't... that's why I need this week to recover (hopefully they'll understand at work).

Sounds like a solid start. A nice and early arrival, that is key - almost as much so as an afternoon nap:thumbsup:!

I don't think I would have accomplished as much as you did after arriving that early in the morning! You're off to a great start!
