computerized ordering

How does the computerized ordering work at some of the counter service places? I'm specifically curious about Captain Cook's, though it's probably the same at any of them. I've heard of some people having some trouble - any advice? Thanks!

Basically, when you walk into Captain Cooks, you'll see three computer screens directly in front of the grill. The people at the grill won't talk to you about them so don't bother. You select your grill items (entrees, drinks, and sides) from the non-intuitive menu, then you go the self-serve dessert case and select your dessert. Next, you proceed to the register line to pay. Note that the Cheeseburger is listed as a side item on the computer... it is not.

OR, you can skip the whole thing, get in line and tell the nice CM at the cash register what you want just like in the old days.
