Wednesday, September 19- Day 4 of 8
Wednesday started out rainy. We decide to brave it and head off to Epcot, as we forgot to check our normal art store at the Studios yesterday and we want to check if we can find something we like at Epcot. So, off we go. On the bus ride from Pop, we end up standing at the very front and it’s nice to actually be able to see where the bus is going for once. Once at Epcot, we head to the Art of Disney store by Spaceship Earth and commission a sketch of Jiminy. Since we’re the first people of the day to request a sketch, it’ll be done in about an hour. Since we haven’t been on The Seas with Nemo and Friends, we head off to try it. We walk on but it still takes about 10 minutes in line because the queue is so long and winding. The ride’s cute but we were expecting more. After, we both get our pictures taken in Bruce’s mouth (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1330.jpg). We then head off to Soarin’ and after no wait, we end up in the front row of the center section. Score! After Soarin’, we head off for a drink at Club Cool and enjoy people’s reactions to Beverly. By now, our sketch is done and we head back to the store to have it framed and shipped back to Pop. Of course, we have to get a picture taken with us in our ponchos (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1331.jpg) before we leave.

We hop the monorail to the ticket and transportation center and then transfer to the resort monorail so we can get to our ADR at Kona Café. We arrive way early and explore the Polynesian (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1336.jpg). We check in for our 12:15 ADR at about noon and we are seated 5 minutes later. The food is yummy and served pretty quickly. Before we know it, we’re on our way to Animal Kingdom to meet up with Jon & Tanya.

When we find Jon & Tanya, we also find their Dream Fast Passes! They won while waiting for the train back to the main park from Rafiki’s Planet Watch. We all head off to EE and get fast passes (they decide to save the dream one for later) and then head off to the bird show. After the show, we use our EE fp’s and then head to Dinosaur. There’s no wait and before we know it, we’re dodging dinosaurs left and right. Afterwards, the boys take the Dream Fast Passes to use on Primeval Whirl while Tanya and I (well, mainly Tanya) recovers from Dinosaur. We then stake out a spot for the parade after getting our EMH wristbands and take lots of pics (which are not on the computer I’m typing this up on, unfortunately). After, the boys take the Dream Fast Passes back to EE while Tanya and I head to Camp Minnie Mickey to meet the characters. It was great- there were NO lines and we had lots of interaction with the characters (once again, those pics are on a different computer). After we meet back up, Jon & Tanya go to use their Dream Fast Passes on the Safari and DH and I head off to ITTBAB. We meet back up for Festival of the Lion King. After the show, Jon & Tanya leave for their ADR at the Contemporary while DH and I head back to EE one last time.

We head out to Coronado Springs to eat at Pepper Market since we didn’t get to eat lunch there yesterday. We’re a bit disappointed in the meal, especially dessert (none of the good stuff is included on the dining plan- only dry muffins and cookies, none of the refrigerated cakes!) and hope that we’ve just hit on an off night, as we loved it last summer. We then hop a bus to Downtown Disney, where we transfer to a bus back to Pop. We refill our mugs and get some Mickey ice creams. We take the long way back to room 9119 and explore a bit. When we get back to the room, it’s time for bed. It’s been a long but enjoyable day.
