A pre-trip note, this is my parents third trip to WDW with us, the prior two have ended up being the two most rain filled trips we’ve ever had. Last year without them it never rained in 10 days.

Saturday, September 29 - Our last full day. We took a poll of things we’ve missed that we still wanted to be see. The list included B&B, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the World Showcase Countries we missed, Mickey & Minnie’s house and the train at MK. We were pretty tired today so we took our time waking and leaving. The bus stop was par for the week, as we rounded the corner a MGM bus was just starting to load so we jumped on. We arrived to MGM just after 10:00, with the B&B show coming up at 11:00 we decided to check out the Little Mermaid and were in luck. The show is just loading and we’re able to walk right in with no wait. The show was good but when the mist came out for the underwater effect it didn’t mist, it was more like rain and we got pretty wet (as if my parnets haven't been rained on enough). Once done there we headed to B&B. We were 15 minutes early which was perfect because they had a group of four men sign for pre-show entertainment and they were great. After B&B we grabbed a burger at the Back Lot Express. I love WDW’s burgers and was really looking forward to this. They redid the condiment bar and I couldn’t find pickles. I politely asked the CM working if I could get pickles and she snapped that they no longer serve pickles with their burgers, just lettuce and tomatoes as the menu states (by her response tone I would assume others haven’t been to pleased by this news and have soured her a little )this surprised me, what’s a burger without pickles? They also changed the buns to whole wheat (health issues I assume) which I can accept but they were much smaller (about 2/3 the size) than the burger patties. To top it all my sandwich had maybe 5 strands of lettuce. How disappointing. As we finish lunched we noticed it was already down pouring , makes rain everyday for my parents thus far and it’s our final full day. We’ve finished MGM at this point and are ready to head to EPCOT. On the way out the rain turned into a thunderstorm so we decided to stop at the GMR to wait it out. One thing I noticed on here that I never did before was the R2D2 in the hieroglyphic. As we exited GMR the storm was dying down so we headed to EPCOT. We planned on taking a boat but with lightening in the area we choose to go with a bus. When we got to EPCOT we headed to the Canada pavilion and start our way around to finish WS. Our highlight at WS was the Beatles tribute band in the UK. The afternoon was overcast but the rain stayed at bay while we worked our way around the world. We finished WS just in time to jump on the monorail and head over to ‘Ohanas for our 5:20 ADR. This has been our favorite for many years and is always our last nights meal. While we waited for a table I ordered Cheryl, my mom and Karissa virgin Raspberry Pina Colada’s which they enjoyed a lot while my dad and I enjoyed a Corona. The meal was above average as usual but has gone down hill just a touch over the years. The kids really enjoyed the entertainment. They participated in the coconut race and made us join them in the luau dance. After dinner we roamed the Poly grounds for a bit before heading to the MK to finish our last must do’s. First stop at MK was the train which we rode to Toon Town where we explored Mickey and Minnie’s houses, Donald’s boat and one last ride on barn stormer. The park was very quite again so we decided to ride IASW for Peyton one last time followed by HM (I like the changes so much I wanted to do it once more). At this point the 9:00 Wishes was starting so we found a quite spot and enjoyed. The park was open until 10:00 so on the way out we rode Pirates. It was so quite that we saw no one in the que area nor was anyone boarding, it felt like we were the only ones in the ride. We headed back to POR after this. Karissa, myself, mom and dad headed up for cup refills. As we worked our way to the main hall the nights sprinkles turned into a torrential down pour. We all took off in a sprint to the hall, as we rounded the corner we should have turned right but my dad went left. I tried to yell to him that he's going the wrong way but with the downpour he can't here me and for a man in his 60's he was moving very fast. He must have covered a couple hundred yards before he realized what he had did. The rest of us started laughing so hard at this point that we can no longer run and we ended up walking, boy were we soaked. When my dad finally caught up to us we were teasing him and telling him stop Forrest, stop (Forrest Gump is a family favorite). When we got back to the room we started packing our bags. Our ME pick scheduled pick up time was 9:00 the following morning so we wanted to make sure the bags were packed before we could call it a night.

Love the pic of Madison in the big chair!

Your run in the rain will, I'm sure, be the topic of many family discussions in the future!

Fun day! Sorry it's the end of your trip!
