I see on Intercot that Animal Kingdom closes on Tuesday Oct 9th at 5pm but on Disney's website it shows a 6pm closing. Any idea which it is?

I would go by Disney's time. It's possible they changed the time and it's not reflected here yet.

6:00 pm is correct. AK is open until six all that week.

That so worked in our advantage once. A few years ago, they decided about noon (just as we checked into the Poly) to start leaving MK open 'til 9:00. They hadn't even printed out new times guides yet. So we went to MK and about 6pm there was a mass exodus because everyone thought the park was closing. There couldn't have been 5000 people in the entire park. We rode Buzz about 10 times in a row and had the best seats for fireworks ever.
