Lower crowd levels in January, marathon weekend or Martin Luther King weekend?

Which weekend is there likely to be less crowds in Jan 2008, marathon weekend or MLK weekend? We are booked for MLK weekend, but also have the option of going during marathon weekend instead so I am trying to decide which will likely be less crowded? Any advice would be great!

I'd probably pick the marathon weekend. Holiday weekends do tend to increase crowds.

I would say marathon weekend has less crowds because it seems that any time school is out such as MLK day the crowds will he higher. The one thing I heard about marathon weekend is that transportation is a nightmare since many are re-routed.

Anytime after the first/two weeks. I go all time in Jan and last year by 3 o clock we were saying, "NowWhat?" The lines for any ride was less than 5 mins But also the the weather was cold so maybe that's why.
