International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception [Archive]

I've done this and loved it! At the time I went this was only opened to Grand Gathering Guests. December 2002 32 of us went to WDW to celebrate New Years Eve and scheduled a few Grand Gathering things, this was one of them.

The food was great. It was a buffet style dinner with food from each of the countries. There was a "gypsy" story teller that told stories to the kids and at the end the characters came out and danced with everyone. After dinner we were escorted to a private dessert reception and viewing area for Illuminations. Which I believe was right behind the store you first see when entering the countries. The desserts were great and Illuminations was amazing. The only bad comment I have is that we were so close to Illuminations that you felt the heat from the fire and some of the kids got very nervous.

It is still only available to Grand Gatherings, partys of 8 or more.
The youngest will be 12 at the time, fear is not an option and we cans tand the heat. After all, It's Disney.
