Where to stay for 2008 Marathon

My family and I are going to Disney World for the 2008 Marathon which my Dad, Uncle and some friends will be running in. We have gone before for this and stayed at the ASMv. They had to all wake up really early to make sure that they caught the bus on time. Is there a better resort to stay at that would help this situtation? Maybe one that the monorail runs through or one of EPCOT's resorts?

AFAIK, unless you are driving, you are going to have to get up and get ready in the wee hours of the morning in order to use the buses, regardless of which resort you choose. (I am pretty sure that you have to use the buses; the monorail might not run at that hour.)

Now, being at one of the closer resorts is a big plus when it comes to getting back after the marathon.
