my DD and DW both have cameras with lithium batteries and are concerned about them making it thru airport security. i checked airline and TSA sites and found nothing but thought i wuold ask here. thanks

Me either. No problems at all. My Camera had them. The DVD player takes some (I don't know if they're lith or not), the extra battery for the DVD player and the Nientendo DS...

I carry my camera with lithium batteries all of the time and I never had a problem.

I would not carry extra lithium batteries that aren't installed in the instrument/camera.
These would probably be considered HAZMATfor transportation purposes.
People do not realize the severity of the hazard that lithium batteries present, but in almost all instances they are forbidden for transport on passenger aircraft.

Just saw where a man's pant caught fire while he was traveling in Atlant's airport. The cause: failure of the lithium battery in his nano iPod.
