Timing DC on 95

Ok, I would like a little advice for all of you around the DC area.

We are leaving centeral NJ on Thursday morning. We are completely flexible about what time to leave.

What time does the morning rush start to ease up in the DC area? I don't want to leave too early and but stuck in the middle of rush hour traffic.

I would say rush hour is the typical 6-10AM, and 4-7 PM.... I drove through DC on the weekends and the beltway still usually has a little traffic on it....

i'd agree with those times.

remember, coming from NJ you'll hit a little traffic in DE, worst would be 7-9AM or 4-6pm.

all depends on how far you want to get on your first day of driving, and what time you want to get up. you'd have to leave toms river by 3:30 AM to get past DC before the real traffic hits. leaving there about 8AM would probably get you past wilmington without a problem and past DC between the rushes.
