Christine- 24 old college roommate, best friend, and ready for fun!
Jason- Christine's bf, first time to disney and cant wait to meet the mouse!
We are on the dining plan so we planned out some great places to eat!
August 26
Boy are we tired! My feet were killing me last night but we had such a great time in MGM! We decided to sleep in this morning and got up around 9. Anthony went to re-check us in due to the free dining promotion while I got into my bathing suit for a swim! We played in the pool until about 11:30 and then went to eat at the POP. We tried the sundried tomato calzone which was ok and then met up with our friends Christine and Jason in the lobby. They had checked in and were going to head to their room for a nap! They told us that the ME line at the airport was over 2 hours!!!! Crazy right? The CM told them that over 16000 people were using ME that day! Free dining does bring people in! Anthony and I decided to head to the MK with hopes of no rain! When we arrived we FP buzz and did the laugh floor (again!). We rode the TTA (SM had the lights on!), Buzz (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/?action=view¤t=DSC00903.jpg), IASW, did the hall of presidents, POTC, Country Bears. We met up with Timon and Rafiki (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/?action=view¤t=DSC00935.jpg)too! Off we went to catch the monorail for the Contemporary for our special dinner at the California Grill. We started to feel sad as we got on the elevator to go up because normally we eat there on our last night. But this year we broke the tradition and the decided to kick off the free dining promotion with our meal here! We got the perfect seat overlooking the magic kingdom....can it get any more magical? On top of that as we were sitting down a huge storm came by. It was really intense and neat to see it from "the top of the world!". The food was delicious as always! I ordered the goat cheese ravioli (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20Vacation%202007/?action=view¤t=DSC00957.jpg)for an appetizer, Anthony got the hurricane roll (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20Vacation%202007/?action=view¤t=DSC00956.jpg). We both enjoyed it! We both got the filet mignon (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20Vacation%202007/?action=view¤t=DSC00961.jpg) for our meal. I chose a chocolate cake with coffee ice cream (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20Vacation%202007/?action=view¤t=DSC00972.jpg)for my dessert, which was delicious! Anthony opted for the year of a million dreams cake (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l134/bethanymouse/Disney%20Vacation%202007/?action=view¤t=DSC00973.jpg)and said it was just ok....but we shared mine:cool:! After dinner it was still raining but we threw on our ponchos and headed back to the kingdom! We did laugh floor (again!, yes I know 2 times in one day...it is anthony's favorite can you tell?), we then did buzz and when we got off the rain had stopped!!! We got bracelets for EMH. I was disappointed to find out that there was no parade on Sundays but we enjoyed Wishes. I absolutely love that show! It is really wonderful. After wishes we met up with Christine and Jason did IASW, Philarmagic, Stitch (Jason wanted to see it!), POTC, Splash (we got soaked!), BTM. Our feet were killing us but we were having so much fun. We said goodbye to the park, it was 12 and the park was closing. Waited for the bus for the POP and got back to the room at 1:15am. We started rethinking EMH at AK and decided to go in later. It was a great day and a wonderful start to our second week!
