Hi everyone! I was just wondering which WDW park you thought had the worst selection for CS meals. For me, it's definitely MGM. What do you think?

i agree completely. this year, i think we're going to eat on our midday break instead of trying to find something palatable there. ick!

I agree with MGM, though AK is lacking choices now. Epcot is the best for us, with all the WS choices and MK is a good second.

If it weren't for our Toy Story loving son and Pizza Planet, I don't think we would eat a CS meal at MGM. I'll be kinda glad when Pizza Planet loses its appeal to him. :thedolls:

I do whole-heartedly enjoy Backlot Express, but I can't say anything about the other places. The only CS i ate at in AK is Tusker...so sad.

MK has an abundance of CS and Epcot has even more--the WORLD :-D and sunshine fair.

I choose AK. There's a lot of CS type of meals, but not enough TS.

IMHO MGM is the worst for CS. I don't even think we could find anything that we wanted to eat. We ended up snacking on ice cream.

I have to agree with the majority that MGM is lacking in the cs department. Although it was a tough choice with AK changing Tusker House. That was a favorite of DH.

MGM with Animal Kingdom a close second.

Is there a good CS restaurant in MGM? Whenever we eat there we always go to Sci-Fi or 50's Prime Time Cafe. I dont' think we've eaten at a CS once in MGM because they never seem appealing to me. Is there more than two? All I remember are Pizza Planet and Backlot Express...are there others?

We like both the Backlot and ABC Commissary at MGM. Our problem park is AK, with only Flame Tree appealing now that Tusker House is no longer CS.

MGM...the Cuban sandwich I had there was horrible:ack:

Losing Tusker House Restaurant really hurts Animal Kingdom, but the counter service options at the Disney-MGM Studios are actually horrendous. My family avoids this park during lunchtime hours because there is simply nowhere to eat.

Does anybody like ABC Commissary or Backlot Express? I'll stick with the places at Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

For us it is MGM. We like TS at H&V with the fantasmic package but don't like the cs...at least no place we have tried.

Yes, MGM has the worst CS meals with AK coming in 2nd. We did eat at the commissary for breakfast this yr and it was actually not bad better than 50's prime time ts meal I had. Worst food I've ever ate I don't think my dog would have eaten that meatloaf. Yuck :ack:

We agree. It's nothing spectacular, but it is CS so really how high can expectations be?

And it is way better than what we have experienced at the ABC Commissary.

I have to agree that MgM is sort of sad bc they do not have many options. I do like that place where you can get (or at least it used to be there) the pretzels and the fresh fruit cups and things.

We are going to Sci Fi on our MgM morning.

These were are only 2 experiences for CS meals at MGM and they served to be our last. We too plan our days at MGM not to include lunch - when we are really motivated, we'll have an ADR for PrimeTime, which we really enjoy.

I would say that AK is a close second to MGM since Tusker House has been closed for revamping to TS.

We like the Backlot Express. With Tusker House closing in AK and the Y&Y not open yet (and with an unknown menu), I voted for there. I'm not a huge fan of BBQ in really hot weather and I'd rather not eat McDs when I'm on vacation which leaves us with Pizzafari which my DS likes but me, not so much. :(

MGM with Animal Kingdom a close second.

What Silly Ol Bear said!

Anyone notice that if you want an early lunch at MGM, it is next to impossible to find anything opened? Is it just MGM or are all of the parks CS locations open that late and were only hungry early when we hit MGM?

We have never had good CS at MGM.

I picked AK because now your only options are pizza, McD or BBQ. The only place we eat at is Flame Tree. I wish there were more choices. My second choice would be MGM though.

Epcot is my favorite all around for food. It's part of the reason that when we go to WDW we spend so much time there.

Normally I would have voted for MGM, but since the AK no longer has Tusker House, I think it has really limited your choices at the AK. I am not a big fan of Pizzasafari and the Flame Tree is just okay (IMHO). Our next trip to AK, we plan on having some appetizers at the Rain Tree for our lunch.

I agree with everyone's sentiments about Tusker House. That was one of our favorite restaurants all around at Disney World, TS or CS. LOVED IT!
However, I voted for MGM as well. We always eat at Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch when we're there.
