We have reservations with the Free DDP for Pop Century for September 22-29. We have a 4 month old daughter and a son that is almost 3 and are concerned about sleep with the 4 month old still getting up in the night. We can pick up an extra week in a 2 Bedroom unit at the Vacation Village on the Parkway for about $280. We're thinking of doing so and not using our Pop Century room at all, but still checking in to take advantage of the Free Dining.

What do you all suggest? As anyone every been in a room with kids around the same age and how did it work out for you? Can anyone think of any disadvantage to this idea?

Cheers,

Brian

FWIW, ds' crib is in our room and because we only have window A/C in our bedroom (and nowhere else in the house) our dd sleeps on our floor during the summer.

That means for 3mo for the last two years all four of us have slept in the same room!

Dd doesn't even move when ds wakes up in the middle of the night!

Ds is now 21mo and dd is 6yo but we did this last summer when they were both a year+ younger as well.

I wouldn't worry about being all in the same room, save the $ and have fun!

Save the $$. Stay at POP. We have traveled with little ones and have not had a problem. They are so tired at the end of the day any ways, they will sleep soundly.

Can I stay in your Pop Century room if you stay at the condo? :D

If so, then yes, do the condo! :D

You can have 2 beds in the room and dd can have a crib to sleep in. Save the money and stay at POP.

Wow, this one depends on your kids but there is no way we would do it. We have had trouble with a one bedroom. Now our kids are closer in age (21 months and 15 months) but there is just no way we would end up in a single room because we would never get any rest. We tried it when they were 7 months and two months old and it was a nightmare. Now maybe your kids sleep better than ours did, but it just seems like things could get more than a bit hectic in Pop. I like your idea about keeping the room and not using it.

We actually ended up buying a vacation home in the area and we rent it out. We used it for the first time this August after staying on property for years and absolutely loved it. It was just so much easier with the kids each having their own room (We have an 8 year old son as well!).
