upgrading to AP ?????

We are leaving on Friday for a 9 night stay. As of right now we only got the required one day base ticket. We were going to purchase the remaining tickets right before we left.
My question is...can we apply the one day base ticket that comes with the package towards an annual pass?.
We would be making a second or third trip down in the next year if we did upgrade.
I would hate to have to use the one day by itself, and have to pay full price for an AP.

We are leaving on Sept. 9 and I also just got one base ticket per person. We were told that you could upgrade and deduct the amount of the base tickets from the purchase price of the AP. I was told that this had to be done at the ticket center at the park.

There shouldn't be any problem with applying the cost of your 1-day base ticket towards the purchase price of an annual pass.
