Best resort for Christmas decorations and best hotel for non drivers in Intl Drive

1. I would really appreciate your comments on the best resort for Christmas decorations? I'm planning a return visit to WDW and will be visiting approx. Dec 16 - 21 next year and then returning Jan 6 - 20. (doing a cruise inbetween and going to International drive.) As much as I would love to, I would not be able to afford Grand Floridian.

2. My second question is we plan to spend time staying in International Drive (doing non disney things) and I wondered if any of you have any recommendations for a good hotel for location, comfort etc. (we wont be driving)
