Saturday - MK with Pirate & Princess Party
Cast - me 38, DH Phil also 38, DD Stephanie 12 and DD Megan 7
We decided to relax at the resort a bit this morning since we had a late night planned. We slept in then headed over to the pool about 9:30a. We took a quick dip in the hot tub but it fast became too warm in there. The girls anxiously awaited the arrival of the lifeguards so they could play (http://inlinethumb19.webshots.com/12434/2319903090102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) on the slide (http://inlinethumb18.webshots.com/12881/2657943250102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). After the swim, we all got ourselves ready and had lunch at the food court. A couple of CM's came out with a huge cart full of sugar cookies, little tubs of icing, and Mickey-shaped sprinkles. They gave each child who wanted to participate a white chef's coat and a cookie to decorate along with a certificate that says they participated in POFQ cookie decorating (http://inlinethumb38.webshots.com/5925/2563527070102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). A quick trip back to our room (http://inlinethumb22.webshots.com/11349/2122273700102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)to grab our stuff and we were on our way to the MK (http://inlinethumb38.webshots.com/14053/2874169390102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)! We went to see Belle (http://inlinethumb52.webshots.com/10803/2520763930102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) at Fairytale Garden. Phil thought Belle's helper Devyn (http://inlinethumb60.webshots.com/12731/2445903000102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) was cute - Devyn however liked Fluffy. We had been promising Megan another ride on SM so we headed over to grab FP's then went to the Laugh Floor again. I managed to talk the kids into Stitch - they really don't like it - but it only had a 5 min wait. We rode SM again, then the girls got a pic with Pleakley (http://inlinethumb15.webshots.com/14222/2408024400102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). By now it was nearly time for dinner but we spied a spot the party bracelet location and went to get those before it got busy. We headed over to the Castle (http://inlinethumb59.webshots.com/11898/2304189020102032678S600x600Q85.jpg), stopping at Cinderella's wishing well (http://inlinethumb57.webshots.com/12920/2405441950102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)before entering CRT. So many people were getting turned away! We had our picture (http://inlinethumb63.webshots.com/13502/2035408050102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) taken for the package and were seated right after that. The girls were given fairy / princess wands (http://inlinethumb31.webshots.com/14174/2329018350102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) (boys get swords). Dinner was hosted by the Fairy Godmother (http://inlinethumb10.webshots.com/11273/2852925370102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) with Suzy (http://inlinethumb04.webshots.com/13443/2301207820102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and Perla (http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/10886/2465813770102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) in attendance to celebrate special events - birthdays, anniversaries, and honeymoons. By now, it was getting close to party time so we grabbed our stuff from the locker and the girls changed into their costumes. The entrance (http://inlinethumb42.webshots.com/10793/2767085070102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) looked great with the curtains, red carpet, and lighted topiaries (http://inlinethumb64.webshots.com/12479/2807909810102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). Having gotten a great tip from John and Karen who had already been to a party, we knew exactly where to find Captain Jack so we headed there first. There wasn't a sign outside of the building yet but a couple of CM's told us that a line was already forming inside. Surprisingly, the line was already long but moving quickly through the awesome pirate theming (http://inlinethumb27.webshots.com/12954/2178706750102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). We realized that they were letting people in to see Jack already. Soon it was our turn. Captain Jack (http://inlinethumb04.webshots.com/13827/2839347250102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) was incredible - exactly like he stepped from the big screen into WDW. I made the mistake of not calling him "Captain" so he personally escorted me from the room. Megan wanted desperately to see Jasmine but only Genie and Abu (http://inlinethumb06.webshots.com/11013/2880654450102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)were out right now. We were told that Jasmine would be around later but nobody could give us a time to come back. We rode the carpets - those spitting camels (http://inlinethumb35.webshots.com/14178/2656369160102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) love to aim for Phil. When we were done, Jasmine made her appearance so we jumped in line again. Megan was thrilled when Jasmine noticed that Megan's costume (http://inlinethumb33.webshots.com/12960/2502934330102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) matched her own wedding gown. We watched the Pirate Tutorial then Aladdin's Royal Guard Recruitment where they taught the kids (http://inlinethumb22.webshots.com/10581/2979743220102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) how to defend Princess Jasmine from the evil Jafar (http://inlinethumb28.webshots.com/11163/2009895600102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)with invisible swords - it's a really cute little show. We made sure to hit all of the treasure spots - they were giving colored strings of beads or candy at each. Megan had torn the front of her dress - fortunately it's easily repaired - so she got a new Jasmine t-shirt before exiting Adventureland. We saw Pirate Goofy and Pluto (http://inlinethumb48.webshots.com/9839/2729567740102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and rode a few more attractions. We went to watch the fireworks (http://inlinethumb25.webshots.com/14488/2719952750102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) - how do they make a skull and crossbones (http://inlinethumb41.webshots.com/11752/2187717930102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)? It was the best fireworks (http://inlinethumb26.webshots.com/12697/2533179700102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) show I've ever seen! We headed over to Toontown then Tomorrowland and SM again. I finally got in touch with BronxTigger - we had exchanged cell numbers - and we met to watch the second parade (http://inlinethumb18.webshots.com/12881/2601700210102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). Jasmine and Aladdin (http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/11014/2703844990102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)rode horses - the girls loved that - and the Jack (http://inlinethumb51.webshots.com/11186/2641882220102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and Tinkerbell (http://inlinethumb43.webshots.com/14058/2977874320102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) floats were awesome. I also liked Tick-Tock (http://inlinethumb41.webshots.com/12392/2281312580102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). Of course, no Disney parade would be complete without Mickey (http://inlinethumb34.webshots.com/11745/2198058010102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)! We managed to squeeze in another couple of rides then right at midnight, the girls got their picture taken with Cinderella's coach (http://inlinethumb23.webshots.com/11222/2254443360102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). We slowly made our way out of the park, back to the lockers to retrieve our stuff, and onto the buses home to POFQ. We were happy we had such a great time but saddened that this was it - our flight out was the next afternoon.
