Wishes from Poly Beach and GF Beach?

We had hoped to take advantage of the beach view of Wishes from the Poly during our December stay (of course we will also see them up close at MK). The only night that the beach viewing might fit into our schedule, we have 6:50 dinner reservations at the GF (Wishes will be at 6:00 this night). Will we have time to see Wishes, catch the monorail to GF, and still be on time for dinner? I think you are even supposed to arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time. Can Wishes be viewed from the beach (or elsewhere) at the GF? Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

Wishes takes about 20 minutes and even at a leisurely walk, you should be able to get to the GF in about 10 mintues.

To answer the other part of your question though, you cannot get a good view of Wishes from the GF's beach. You need to either go to boat dock and watch or stand in the marina area. You didn't mention where you were having dinner, but if it's at Narcoosees, they have a wrap around deck for restaurant patrons to stand on. It's a nice view of Wishes. You can get to your ADR early, get a glass of wine from the bar and stand outside if you'd like. Personally though, I'd probably stay at the Poly beach and take a nice stroll to the GF afterwards. You'll have plenty of time. Sounds like you'll be timing dinner perfectly to catch the Electric Water Parade on your way back.

Thanks for the input. We are attending the character dinner at GF with our twins (will be turning 4 on our trip). And yes, we had hoped to be finished dining in time to see the Christmas decorations at Gf and view the water pageant from GF or back at the Polynesian. Can't wait!
