On Intercot they have this listed in the September hours. But on the DW website they don't show this. Is it happening? And if so would you suggest going more than once? Is it worth getting up early for this?

Yes, it's happening. There's nothing particularly special about it. All it means is that Fantasyland (where most of the kids' rides are) opens early like a regular EMH. There is no limitation to age, so anyone can go, regardless of kids. So, if Fantasyland is a big hit with you, then go. If not, don't bother.
