Since when did the resorts stop having irons and ironing boards in the room. I was looking at the wdw web site and it says they are available upon request. I thought they always came with the room.

Really? We were there in June and they were in both rooms (we resort hopped from the BW to CB).

They were definitely at French Quarter in January. I know because I dropped the hot iron on the rug which melted onto the iron. (Shhh....don't tell)

We had one at POFQ just last week. I think it only says that in case your room doesn't have one because someone needed a new iron back home or it's been dropped onto the rug....;) (I won't tell!)

It's "request only" at the values. Moderates and above have irons standard. As to whether that's new . . . I've never stayed at one of the values, so I couldn't tell you.

POR Riverside had them in June.......I don't remember using it, but it was there.......I'm not really the ironing type anyway.....DW knows how to use it, I think.......

Just at POR in June and it definately had an iron and ironing board. Didn't use it. Not really the type to iron everything especially to go to an amusement park.

We were at Pop April '06 and they had irons and boards. If they aren't there any more, it's a fairly new developement.

We stayed at Pop in Feb and May of this year and we had an iron and ironing board both times. Also at CBR in 2005 and ASMo in 2004.

I was at CBR a couple weeks ago, and there was an iron and ironing board. I actually used it, too!

All the All Stars DO have them... but you have to ask for a hair dryer.

Both an iron and board are standard. They hang in the closet area beside the sink. :iron:

As for using them..I guess I am one of the very few that does iron on vacation. It is actually one of my many OCD issues, my DH says. ;)Everyone must start each day at home and on vacation with freshly ironed clothes. I do them each night before I go to bed. :iron:

Now you all know one of my quirks. :blush:

They had them at the ASMovies and CBR. I wasn't expecting a refrigerator because I thought you had to request it, but we had one at CBR, thank goodness. I don't think I have ever been in a hotel or resort room that didn't have an iron and ironing board or hair dryer no matter what category it was in.

Just got back from All Star Music on Wednesday and had iron and hairdryer in the room. I didn't have to request them.
