Wednesday - Magic Kingdom
Cast - me 38, DH Phil also 38, DD Stephanie 12 and DD Megan 7
We're off to MK again today! It's my favorite park so we spend a lot of time here. Today we head to Fantasyland first. Megan (http://inlinethumb17.webshots.com/11664/2228111260102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and Stephanie (http://inlinethumb48.webshots.com/8623/2251956540102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) took turns trying to pull the sword from the stone but neither succeeded. Too bad Merlin's not around anymore. There were minimal waits this morning so we took advantage and rode Dumbo (http://inlinethumb01.webshots.com/11328/2186717180102032678S600x600Q85.jpg), Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, and visited my favorite Princess Ariel (http://inlinethumb02.webshots.com/10241/2908242140102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). It was starting to warm up pretty good so we took a break in Sir Mickey's (http://inlinethumb51.webshots.com/13298/2188823180102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) where a wonderful CM pointed out the giant peeking in the ceiling (http://inlinethumb28.webshots.com/10139/2350452320102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). She also spent a bit of time talking to Megan and asking about her favorite character Princess Jasmine. Unbeknownst to us, when she found out Megan hadn't seen Jasmine yet this trip, she called to find out when she would be making an appearance then called Megan over to tell her and point out the location on the map. It was still a bit too early for Jasmine so we went for a spin on Cindy's horses (http://inlinethumb12.webshots.com/10891/2658016870102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) then headed over to Adventureland to meet Jasmine (http://inlinethumb48.webshots.com/10863/2330922000102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) - surprised to see the whole gang there. We still had some time before our Intercot mini meet so we grabbed a great lunch at Columbia Harbor House. We strolled up to our minute right on time and met a great group of people (http://inlinethumb53.webshots.com/11508/2818154110102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) - thanks to Karen's mom for taking this picture! This is John (DWHubby), Karen (Disneywhirled), me, and Kristen (dolphinmickey9170). (http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/13446/2297482010102032678S600x600Q85.jpg). After standing around in the heat sharing stories, John and Karen's son Colby suggested we all go see the Tiki Room together. Afterwards, we talked through another entire show outside the exit. John and Karen's daughter Kaylee and my Megan (http://inlinethumb37.webshots.com/13348/2565167990102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)hit it off great. Megan has asked several times when she can go play with Kaylee - too bad they live 8 hr away from us! When we finally went our separate ways, we nabbed a FP for Splash and waited 40 min for BTM. Even after that wait it wasn't time for Splash so we decided to take the train to Toontown - or so we thought. We made our way to the platform as a train rolled in and unloaded. Suddenly, the fire alarms started buzzing and flashing! The CM's didn't seem at all concerned and allowed a few folks to board the train until a female CM stopped them and started calling around to find out what was going on. After a few minutes, the train headed out but the alarms kept right on going. Finally, a manager showed up and determined that there was nothing wrong and shut the alarms off. We were able to board the next train with no further problems and hit the rails for Toontown. Once there, we explored Minnie (http://inlinethumb17.webshots.com/12304/2287578000102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and Mickey's houses and rode Goofy's Barnstormer. We shopped in the gift shop and thought we would go see some characters but the waits were 90 min long! Instead, we boarded another train - no fire alarm this time - and went back to Frontierland for Splash. We wandered back through Fantasyland - stopping for Small World since it had only a 5 min wait - then rode the teacups. By this time, it was nearly time for dinner so we strolled towards MS stopping for this pic in front of the castle (http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/11974/2294742350102032678S600x600Q85.jpg) and another at the Partners statue (http://inlinethumb39.webshots.com/11878/2176288480102032678S600x600Q85.jpg)along the way. The sky was really starting to darken and the wind was picking up - it looked like we were going to be in for a storm! Dinner was at Tony's - Stephanie's pick. We were really disappointed at being seated outside but it ended up being great as we got to people watch all the folks coming in for today's P&P party - there were some really great costumes and the weather held and the storm never came. Since we didn't have tickets for tonight either, after dinner we returned to the resort to freshen up a bit and took the boat to DTD. Those treehouses are really cool - too bad we can't stay there anymore! We did a bit of shopping but it was so crowded and I can't stand that so we headed home for a good night's sleep since we have an early breakfast in the morning.
